“You would be hard-pressed to find two men more different from my father and I. Always the traditionalist, he rarely agrees with me on where the world is going or how it’s changing. Still whenever my mind generates a really bold idea, especially a sports prediction, I have to pass it on to him. The resulting conversation never changes my opinion (or his), but the mental exercise tends to expose factors that I overlook or undervalue. Last time was no different when I opened with ‘Hey, Dad, I’ve been thinking about it, and the NFL is dead.’
